Buck Fitzgerald is a Nashville native, who starred at quarterback and defensive back for Pearl Cohn, winning a state championship. Buck would go on to play for the University of Tennessee, appearing in 2 SEC Championships and winning the 1998 National Championship. Fitzgerald founded the National Playmakers Academy in 2010 with the mission to assist young student athletes in realizing their dream of playing college football through achieving college scholarships. Through the NPA, Buck has coached 35 past and current NFL players (including recent Super Bowl Champions Jalen Ramsey and Van Jefferson), 35 Army and Under Amor All Americans and over 800 college football scholarship signees.
